I’m Kirsten Carter, Mello’s founder/MD, and here’s a bit more about us..

Mello Bookkeeping was established in 2018, as I wanted to utilise my two decades of corporate and international financial experience to help small and medium business owners  manage and run their business more easily & profitably:  to have accurate financial information so they can focus on growing their business, generating more profit and have visibility to financial performance.  To help SME owners free up time to instead focus on the many other tasks and priorities involved with running their own business.

As a qualified and Tax Practitioner Board registered BAS agent, I pride myself on providing BIG SUPPORT FOR SMALL BUSINESS by not only utilising many years of international financial experience, but also delivering exceptional qualified services and a caring attitude to ensure your ATO lodgements and compliance matters are lodged on time and your books are kept up to date.  How can you as a business owner make informed business decisions if you don’t understand or know your performance?

 

I am degree qualified with a Bachelor In Accounting and also a Certificate 1V in Accounting and Bookkeeping.  This, along with my financial experience has taught me about the value and power of having solid financial systems, processes and accurate reporting – from the small detail to the big picture.  This allows me to work with you in understanding your unique business and add value where it counts.  I keep it simple, effective, efficient and personal – with real, noticeable impact.

My practice focuses on bookkeeping services to ensure your books are up to date, accurate and ready for YOU, the business owner,  to understand how your business is performing and for your accountant at end of year tax time.  I take the transactions daily mundane financial tasks away which in turn allow you to focus on growing your business to generate more profit or have more family time. 

My approach is focused on the ‘better’ way of new business today – utilising electronic systems (I am a Xero Certified Partner but work with most accounting packages) and Apps means less time is spent on data processing and more time on value-add services like cash flow analysis , budgeting, profit and loss reviews and balance sheet analysis.  Face-face is always welcome  but not always necessary in our post Covid world of systems and Zoom Meetings.
